I will be attending a concert at The Vic on September 10th.

First off – what is parking in the area like?
Anyone know which paid parking lot is the most reasonable and where it is located in relation to The Vic?
Second – I know that there is a balcony but some places that are general admission will reserve the balcony areas for special guests – so is the balcony area at The Vic usually reserved or is it first come/first sit as far as the seating goes?
Also – what are the acoustics like? Decent or no?
If anyone could answer any of these questions I would be most appreciative!
And any additional info that anyone could provide that’s NOT available on their website(which I’ve already check out) would be awesome.

The spaces closet to the Vic get crowded fast, so you’ll have to probably park further west. Or you can drive around on Clark street and see if you can find anything.

As for parking lots, try closer to wrigley field. There are so many small lots they compete with prices. You can probably find one for about $ 10 or $ 12 bucks for the night.

The Vic has virtually no seating on the main floor. Standing room only. The balcony seating depends on the show. there is room up there but it’s usually crowded if it’s general admission.

The acoustics kinda suck in my opinion. I don’t think the Vic was created for musical concerts. it was a stage theater a long time ago. But it’s pretty small as music venues go so if nothing else it will sound loud.

There are a couple of places to buy beer at the back on either side. you need a wristband if you’re 21 and over. and the area in front of the stage gets packed of course. everyone stands.
